Climate
Dubai has a sub-tropical, arid climate. Sunny, blue
skies can be expected most of the year.
Rainfall is infrequent and irregular, falling mainly
in winter. Temperatures range from a low of about 10.5deg.C/50deg.F
to a high of 48deg.C/118.4deg.F
Economy and Currency
Petroleum dominates the economy of the UAE. The immense
wealth has been invested in capital improvements and
social services in all seven of the emirates. There
are no foreign exchange controls, quotas or trade barriers.
Import duties are extremely low, and many products are
exempt. The UAE dirham is freely convertible and is
linked to the US dollar, the currency in which oil revenues
are paid. The current exchange rate is Dh 3.675 = US$
1 and no revaluation has occurred since 1977.

Dubai
Mall:
The Dubai Mall occupies some 5 million sq ft of commercial
property. More than 1,000 stores in 10-15 distinct 'malls-within-a
mall' will form the centerpiece of the Mall's unique
retail offering. The Mall offers entertainment, dining
and culture - including the world's largest indoor Gold
Souq, Food Court, Waterfront Atrium, Oasis Fountain,
Fashion Island, Ice Oval, The Aquarium and Kiddy Land.
On completion, The Dubai Mall will be a crucial part
of what Dubai has to offer visitors. The Mall expects
to attract 5 million visitors in the first full year

Dubai Metro/Railway Project:
Dubai Municipality has identified the need for an Urban
